Am I the only one that's offended by American Idol performances tonight?

It almost always seemed like that to me that's why I don't watch it.Today's music is more like a popularity contest, they don't sing from the heart and soul anymore. ''Where Were You When The World Stopped Turning'' should only be done by those who can sing it with true emotion, that's a beautiful song, and ''Alan Jackson'' had tears in his eyes when he sang that song while millions watched with tears in our eyes.He always gets standing ovations when he does that song with such true raw emotion, it should never be sung unless a person can truly feel the emotion in it.
