the usual fix for a leaky valve is to replace it. There are a few drugs that can be tried if your doc thinks it will help. The surgery is not too complicated and is one that is done a lot. Sounds like worried is a normal state for you, with good reason. I will not tell you not to. This can be taken care of. You can fight though it. I wish you luck and a speedy recovery.
